Your life is your canvas! If you are not happy with what you have created, you can always start over. The paint brush symbolizes new beginnings, red for good luck, and white for the clean slate. I hope this piece truly inspires people to follow their dreams. We may only have one life, but we can recreate it as many times as we would like.
This piece is inspired by mental health awareness. We all can get stuck in dark places at times but we ultimately control our own destiny. The paint brush symbolizes new beginnings, red for good luck, and white for the clean slate. We all can start over with a fresh canvas for our life.
Beth is a self taught artist from Fresno, California. She’s been living in Los Angeles where she’s a single mom to her four children. Beth discovered her passion for art after watching a series of YouTube videos on how to paint. she quickly ran to Michaels craft store and bought several paints and canvases. Beth decided that not only did she have a passion for painting that she want to take it to the next step by having a gallery showcase. Completely green to the art world, Beth decided to rent out a gallery online and invite several of her closest friends and family, not knowing that was going to be the launching pad for such an incredible career. Beth’s first showcase “Transcend” was a huge success. Beth sold five pieces that night, and was encouraged by the curator of her show, who also happen to own the gallery, to continue painting. The gallery owner/curator was so impressed with her works, he told Beth that she definitely had a future in art.
Two weeks later, after Beth’s premier showcase, The same gallery owner/curator called to tell Beth that he had submitted one of her pieces to Gabriel fine arts of London. They were having a large international showcase with artist from all over the world. Not only did Beth’s piece sell that night, it was one of the only ones to sell. The representative from Gabriel fine arts of London asked Beth if she had any other pieces because they were then going to art Basel and they wanted to bring her works with them. Beth realized that this was an incredible opportunity, unfortunately, she didn’t have the three pieces prepared, but that didn’t stop her. She created three pieces that night and used a blowdryer to dry the acrylic paint, wrap them in bubble wrap, and had them ready to Give to the representative of Gabriel fine arts the next afternoon. Art Basel is equivalent to the Academy Awards for artist, it doesn’t get much higher than that. In Miami, a well known art critic/agent came across Beth’s works. He inquired about Beth‘s pieces on display. He then reached out to Beth to represent her and helped her obtain representation with galleries in New York, Los Angeles, Santa Fe, and Miami. Beth then showcased at LA Art Show, New York Art Expo, and Art Santa Fe. Beth received international representation from Paks gallery in Austria. Paks submitted Beth to Art Monaco, Prince Albert’s private gallery showcase, the Louvre in Paris, and the Cannes film festival. Beth received acceptance into all three. Beth shipped her pieces to Art Monaco, attended the Louvre 2019 with the given title as a modern art master. Unfortunately, Covid hit before the Cannes film festival which she is still scheduled to attend next May. Beth is extremely grateful for all of the incredible opportunities she has had and absolutely loves what she does.
