Guided Nature Walk at White Point Nature Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, November 11th, 9am. Celebrate Veterans Day walking through restored coastal sage scrub habitat and stop at a former gun emplacement to learn about the military history of the area. Native Plant Sales by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy – Saturday, November 11th at George F Canyon 10:30am – 1pm, Saturday, November 25th at White Point Nature Education Center 10:30am – 1pm. Monthly Plant Sales are Back! Come to our nature centers during our sales to learn more about growing local native plants and purchase some for your garden!

Outdoor Volunteer Day at Abalone Cove Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, November 4th, 9am – 12pm and Saturday, November 18th, 9am – 12pm. Join the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy to volunteer on a breathtaking coastal reserve helping restore wildlife habitat. Students can receive community service hours. George F Canyon Guided Family Nature Preserve Walk with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, November 4th, 10:30am. You will be guided by a trained naturalist to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their canyon habitat with amazing views of the LA Basin. Meet outside on the back deck of the George F Canyon Nature Center. Parking in Preserve lot located at 27305 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. Rain cancels. Help care for the native plant demonstration garden at White Point Nature Preserve by planting native shrubs, removing invasive weeds, watering native plants, grooming trails and more! Naturalists will guide you along a trail to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their coastal sage scrub habitat with amazing views across to the ocean. Meet in front of the Nature Center and come inside to explore after the hike. Preserve parking available at the end of the street in a gravel lot at 1600 West Paseo del Mar, San Pedro. Volunteer with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Rapid Response Team, Fridays, 9am - 12pm. Work alongside the field staff to help protect important wildlife habitat.
