Celebrate Earth Day with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, April 22nd, 9am – 12pm at the White Point Nature Preserve.  Help us celebrate planet Earth by taking action!  Beautify the Preserve and native plant demonstration garden for the benefit of the community and wildlife! Great activities for families including a guided nature walk.  Volunteers under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.  Sign up at pvplc.volunteerhub.com.

Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour, Sunday, April 23rd, 4pm.  An exciting selection of adventurous and inspirational films about nature. You’ll be moved, transfixed and energized to make a difference in our world. Tickets are $15 ($20 at the door) at pvplc.org.

Guided Nature Walk at Ocean Trails Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, April 8th, 9am.  Walk through an impressively-restored habitat on top of an ancient slide area with spectacular bluff-top ocean views that are well worth the visit.  Easy to moderate. City Nature Challenge Bioblitz Training with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Tuesday, April 25th, 6-7pm - It's easy to collect information to help add to our knowledge of local species - just take a photo and upload it to iNaturalist! Join this virtual presentation to find out where and how to participate as citizen scientists for the City Nature Challenge April 28-May 1. No prior experience necessary, all you need is a smartphone or a camera and a desire to get out on the trails to see what you can find!
 
ACTIVITIES

George F Canyon Guided Nature Preserve Walk with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, April 1st, 10:30am.  You will be guided by a trained naturalist to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their canyon habitat with amazing views of the LA Basin.  Meet outside on the back deck of the George F Canyon Nature Center.  Parking in Preserve lot located at 27305 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. No RSVP required.  Rain cancels.

Outdoor Volunteer Day at Abalone Cove Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, April 1st, 9am – 12pm.  Join the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy to volunteer on a breathtaking coastal reserve helping restore wildlife habitat. Students can receive community service hours.  Sign up at https://pvplc.volunteerhub.com/.

Outdoor Volunteer Day at Agua Amarga with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, April 8th and Saturday, April 29th, 9am – 12pm. Help remove invasive weeds and care for a community restoration site to benefit wildlife. Students can receive community service hours.  Sign up at https://pvplc.volunteerhub.com/.

Guided Nature Walk at White Point Nature Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, April 15th, 10:30am.  Naturalists will guide you along a trail to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their coastal sage scrub habitat with amazing views across to the ocean.  Meet in front of the Nature Center and come inside to explore after the hike.  Reservations not required.  Preserve parking available at the end of the street in a gravel lot at 1600 West Paseo del Mar, San Pedro.
