Guided Nature Walk at Alta Vicente Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, November 12th, 9am. Explore rare cactus wren and gnatcatcher restored habitat. Enjoy beautiful views of Catalina Island, blooms of lupine and golden poppy and learn about the military history of the area in honor of Veterans Day. Moderate to strenuous. Join the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy to volunteer at the newest restoration site on a breathtaking coastal reserve helping eradicate invasive weeds to protect native species. George F Canyon Guided Nature Preserve Walk with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, November 5th, 10:30am. You will be guided by a trained naturalist to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their canyon habitat with amazing views of the LA Basin. Meet outside on the back deck of the George F Canyon Nature Center. Parking in Preserve lot located at 27305 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. No RSVP required. Rain cancels.

Help care for the White Point Native Plant Demonstration Garden by planting native shrubs, removing invasive weeds, watering native plants, grooming trails and more! Guided Nature Walk at White Point Nature Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, November 19th, 10:30am. Naturalists will guide you along a trail to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their coastal sage scrub habitat with amazing views across to the ocean. Meet in front of the Nature Center and come inside to explore after the hike. Park in the lot at the dead-end of 1600 Paseo del Mar, San Pedro. Reservations not required. Preserve parking available in a gravel lot at 1600 West Paseo del Mar, San Pedro.
Volunteer with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Rapid Response Team, Fridays and Saturdays, 9am - 12pm. Work alongside the field staff around the Palos Verdes Nature Preserve to help protect important wildlife habitat. Help with trail maintenance, fence building, installing signage and more!
