Word Tennis Anyone? By International Hypnosis Federation President, Author, Artist and More Shelley Stockwell-Nicholas, PhD

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, and words can also hurt me.”

Words can also heal. Words can change how you feel. They can build you up or tear you down. They can keep you stuck on the wrong side of town. The right words can get you motivating… involved in life and celebrating… Cowards hide behind technology as they rant and spew. Others openly send loving words to you…

Your words create your destiny and what manifests as true…

So what can YOU do?

ASK YOURSELF!

How do I speak to myself and others?

Do I say positive and encouraging things?

Do my words, and the words of those around me, uplift or tear down?

Don Miguel Ruiz suggests:

1. Speak with integrity.

2. Say only what you mean.

3. Avoid words that speak against you or that gossip about others.

4. Use words that power truth and love.

In other words; challenge yourself to an impeccable verbal game of tennis. Will you build up or tear down? Ball’s in your court: “love all.”
