Cactus Wren Monitoring Training with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, March 1st, 9am -12pm. You are invited to join our Community Science Program for monitoring the charismatic and rare cactus wrens in our preserves. 16 years+. Sign up at pvplc.volunteerhub.com 

Monthly Guided Nature Walk at Linden H. Chandler Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, March 8th, 9am.  Experience this 28-acre nature preserve with blooming native plants. This restored habitat is home to the endangered Palos Verdes blue butterfly. Native Plant Sale by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land ConservancySaturday, March 8th at George F Canyon 10:30am – 12pm, located at 27305 Palos Verdes Dr E, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274.   Create your own butterfly garden with a beautiful native plant from the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Our native plant expert will give you professional tips on creating a garden waystation and home for local species!  Join us Saturday, March 22nd at White Point Nature Education Center located at 1600 Paseo del Mar, San Pedro 10:30am – 12pm for another chance to get native plants.     

Nature Club for Kids - Wildlife Tracking with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, March 8th at 10:30am. Join us for wildlife tracking themed Nature Club at White Point Nature Education Center. We'll do fun activities and learn about how scientists study animals that we don't often times see! Ages 3-10 years old.   

Storytime Tales - Rowdy Raccoons with The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, March 9th at 10:30am. Join us at White Point Nature Education Center for fun stories about the cool critters that live on the nature preserve with crafts and hands-on activities. Recommended for kids ages 3-6 and their caregivers. 

Nature Walk Leader Training with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, March 15th & March 22nd, 9am – 12pm. Share your love of nature with your local community by learning how to become a nature walk leader! Help us host free nature walks at various trails on the Peninsula on the 2nd Saturday of each month. 18 years +. Sign up at pvplc.volunteerhub.com 

Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Team Leader Training, Saturday, March 29th – 1pm-3:00pm at Abalone Cove Shoreline Park.  Become a Team Leader for Outdoor Volunteer Days! Team Leaders provide support and oversight during events. If you love restoring habitat and working with others, this program is for you!  This training will be delivered in an outdoor space. Please come prepared by wearing closed-toe shoes and bringing sun protection. All volunteers must be at least 16 years of age and register in advance to participate. GUIDED MONTHLY WALKS       

Family Nature Walk at George F Canyon Nature Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, March 1st, 10:30am.  Naturalists will guide you along a trail through the preserve to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their canyon habitat with amazing views of the LA Basin. Meet on the back patio of the Nature Center and come inside to explore after the hike.  Parking in Preserve lot located at 27305 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. 1st Wednesday Bird Walk at White Point Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy on Wednesday, March 5th at 9am. Join expert Bob Shanman meeting in front of White Point Nature Education Center for a free bird walk with an experienced naturalist, binoculars provided. 1600 Paseo del Mar, San Pedro, CA 90731 

Guided Family Nature Walk at White Point Nature Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, March 15th, 10:30am.  Naturalists will guide you along a trail to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their coastal sage scrub habitat with amazing views across to the ocean.  Meet in front of the Nature Center and come inside to explore after the hike.  Preserve parking available at the end of the street in a gravel lot at 1600 West Paseo Del Mar, San Pedro. OUTDOOR RESTORATION ACTIVITIES 

Beautify Lunada Bay with the Palos Verdes Peninsula land Conservancy, Saturday, March 1st, 9am – 11:30am. Join us at Beautify Lunada Bay Volunteer Day! The long-term goals of this project are to restore attractive, locally native, drought tolerant plants to open space areas in Lunada Bay. Help restore this site for wildlife and the community to enjoy! The Beautify Lunada Bay Volunteer Day event is open to all skill levels. Students can receive community service hours. Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Outdoor Volunteer Day at Abalone Cove Reserve, Saturday, March 1st, 9:15am –12:15pm and Saturday, March 29th, 9:15am – 12:15pm. Join the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy to volunteer on a breathtaking coastal reserve helping restore wildlife habitat.  Students can receive community service hours.  Sign up at pvplc.volunteerhub.com       

Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Outdoor Volunteer Day at White Point Nature Preserve, Sunday, March 2nd, 9am – 12pm, Saturday, March 15th, 9am - 12pm and Sunday, March 23rd, 9am - 12pm.  Join us at White Point Nature Preserve! We will be working to maintain the preserve's restoration area of native plant species to improve critical habitat for wildlife at the preserve and beautify outdoor natural space for the community.  Students can receive community service hours. Outdoor Volunteer Day at Agua Amarga Reservewith the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, March 22, 9am - 12pm. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES       

Rapid Response 
Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to noon. Join the Rapid Response team to help maintain our trails and protect important wildlife habitat! You will assist staff with various easy to moderate trail maintenance activities such as closing unauthorized trails, trimming and clearing brush, minor tread repair, and other projects (Minor hiking involved). 15 years+. No experience needed!

Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Community Outreach Volunteers      

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is looking for volunteers who enjoy sharing their love of nature and the Peninsula at community events around the South Bay. Join the Community Outreach volunteer team to help engage the local community for events and greet participants of our free monthly guided nature walks. No experience needed & flexible schedule. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is seeking volunteer education docents who would enjoy working with students, either in the classroom or for field trips and to greet visitors at one of two nature centers the Conservancy manages.
