Monthly Guided Nature Walk at Agua Amarga Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, December 14th, 9am.  Walk the trail, enjoy the view, and appreciate the results of many volunteers’ trail and habitat restoration efforts in this quiet neighborhood canyon. Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Storytime Tails: Tree Time! Sunday, December 8th from 10:30am -11:30am - Join us for fun stories about the cool critters that live on the nature preserve with crafts and hands-on activities. Recommended for kids ages 3-6 and their caregivers.  

Native Plant Sale by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land ConservancySaturday, December 14th at George F Canyon 10:30am – 12pm, located at 27305 Palos Verdes Dr E, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274.   Create your own butterfly garden with a beautiful native plant from the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Our native plant expert will give you professional tips on creating a garden waystation and home for local species!  Join us Saturday, December 28th at White Point Nature Education Center located at 1600 Paseo del Mar, San Pedro 10:30am – 12pm for another chance to get native plants.      

Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Nature Club for Kids – Trees – Saturday, December 14th, 10:30am – 11:30am - Join us at White Point Nature Education Center for a tree themed Nature Club. We'll learn about trees found on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, make a fun holiday craft, and plant a tree in the nature preserve! This event is suitable for ages 5-10.   

GUIDED MONTHLY WALKS      

NEW! Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy 1st Wednesday Bird Walk at White Point Preserve on Wednesday, December 4th at 9am. Join expert Bob Shanman meeting in front of White Point Nature Education Center for a free bird walk with an experienced naturalist, binoculars provided. 1600 Paseo del Mar, San Pedro, CA 90731  

Family Nature Walk at George F Canyon Nature Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, December 7th, 10:30am.  Naturalists will guide you along a trail through the preserve to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their canyon habitat with amazing views of the LA Basin. Meet on the back patio of the Nature Center and come inside to explore after the hike.  Parking in Preserve lot located at 27305 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. Guided Family Nature Walk at White Point Nature Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, December 21st, 10:30am.  Naturalists will guide you along a trail to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their coastal sage scrub habitat with amazing views across to the ocean.  Meet in front of the Nature Center and come inside to explore after the hike.  Preserve parking available at the end of the street in a gravel lot at 1600 West Paseo Del Mar, San Pedro. OUTDOOR RESTORATION ACTIVITIES      

Beautify Lunada Bay, Saturday, December 7, 9am – 11:30am. Join us at Lunada Bay to restore and beautify habitat with locally native, drought tolerant plants in open space areas for wildlife and the community to enjoy! Sign up at pvplc.volunteerhub.com  

Outdoor Volunteer Day at Agua Amarga Reservewith the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, December 7th, 9am – 12pm. Help remove invasive weeds and care for a community restoration site to benefit wildlife. Sign up at pvplc.volunteerhub.com.      

Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Outdoor Volunteer Day at White Point Nature Preserve, Sunday, December 8th, Sunday, December 15th, and Saturday, December 21st 9am – 12pm.  Join us at White Point Nature Preserve! We will be working to maintain the preserve's restoration area of native plant species to improve critical habitat for wildlife at the preserve and beautify outdoor natural space for the community.  Sign up at pvplc.volunteerhub.com  

Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Outdoor Volunteer Day at Alta Vicente Reserve, Saturday, December 14th, 9am – 12pm. Come help us to restore habitat on the 22-acre restoration site to create a home for rare cactus wrens and gnatcatchers with beautiful views of Catalina Island. Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Community Outreach Volunteers     

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is looking for volunteers who enjoy sharing their love of nature and the Peninsula at community events around the South Bay. Join the Community Outreach volunteer team to help engage the local community for events and greet participants of our free monthly guided nature walks. No experience needed & flexible schedule. Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Education Docents     

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is seeking volunteer education docents who would enjoy working with students, either in the classroom or for field trips and to greet visitors at one of two nature centers the Conservancy manages. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy provides a leadership development opportunity to learn to lead small teams at Outdoor Volunteer Days.
