The Palos Verdes Junior Women's Club held their annual Disbursement Ceremony on May 30th, 2024 at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. This annual event is the culmination of all the fundraising efforts throughout the year by the all volunteer organization. On hand at the evening’s festivities were the Directors and Representatives of the local Non-profit organizations that are receiving Grants along with the 2 local High School Seniors who are receiving Scholarships. This year’s Recipients are Boys and Girls Club of LA Harbor, Community’s Child, Family Promise South Bay, Harbor Interfaith, Providence TrinityKids, SHAWL (Support for Area Women’s Lives) and We Are Brave Together. Local High School Senior Enzo Somers received the PV Jr Scholarship and Scot Sipes Award and plans to attend Purdue University. High School Senior Kiara Lee received the PV Jr Scholarship and the Kelli Piken Award with plans to attend UCSB.
The evening concluded with the last meeting of the year along with the award for Co-PV Juniors of the year Susan Davis and Rosa Pesenti who exemplified dedication and extraordinary service. The Final piece of business to cap the evening off was the Installation of President Teri Screen and New Executive Board for the 2024/25 year.
