Lunada Bay’s 1st Diwali Sparkled with Light, Joy, and Community Spirit.

Lunada Bay witnessed a spectacular burst of light and joy during its first-ever Diwali celebration at Palos Verdes Intermediate School on November 12th. Over 400 people from the community gathered as the sun set, transforming PVE into a dazzling display of lights in honor of the festival of Diwali.

The culinary journey featured renowned Indian delicacies, including samosas, hara bhara kebabs, chicken tikka, a lively pani puri cart, paneer tikka, mango lassi, and Indian Chai. As the clock approached 6:30 pm, the main course delighted attendees with flavorful chicken biryani, soft naans, creamy butter chicken masala, hearty Punjabi chole, and refreshing Raita. The sweet finale came in the form of Matka kulfi, hailed as the queen of all ice creams, leaving a lasting impression on many.

The 360 Photo Booth, professional photographer, and captivating henna art added extra allure to Lunada Bay’s 1st Diwali celebration.

Adding to the festivities, traditional bingo game, vibrant dance performances, and a Bollywood DJ spun the celebration into a crescendo of joy.

Shikha Vidjearadji, the event organizer, aptly expressed, “The joy in spreading the joy is the greatest joy”
