**Two Canine Companion dogs that will participate in The Blessing of the Animals on October 13, 2024.**

(REDONDO BEACH, CA) - Riviera United Methodist Church is excited to announce its first “Blessing of the Animals,” a special community-wide event, on Sunday, October 13, 2024.

All animal lovers are warmly invited to bring their furry, feathered, or scaled companions to be blessed by The Reverend Sunyoung Lee and to enjoy the company of other animal lovers. This unique event aims to celebrate the love and companionship that animals bring into our lives.

The Blessing of the Animals will take place at Riviera United Methodist Church, located at 375 Palos Verdes Blvd, Redondo Beach, Calif. The worship service will begin at 10 a.m., with the blessing of the animals immediately following the service at 11 a.m. All types of well-behaved companions are welcome. Photos or collars or even toys for those pets too shy to attend can be blessed.

Following the blessing, there will be a lively gathering with music and refreshments available for all attendees. Informational tables featuring nonprofits dedicated to animal welfare, including Canine Companions and Love On 4 Paws, will provide valuable resources for animal lovers. Everyone who attends will receive a special goodie bag for their furry, feathered or scaled friend.
