George F Canyon Guided Family Nature Preserve Walk with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, July 1st, 10:30am. You will be guided by a trained naturalist to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their canyon habitat with amazing views of the LA Basin. Meet outside on the back deck of the George F Canyon Nature Center. Parking in Preserve lot located at 27305 Palos Verdes Drive East, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. No RSVP required. Rain cancels.

Outdoor Volunteer Day at Alta Vicente Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, July 8th, 9am – 12pm and Saturday, July 22nd, 9am – 12pm. Come help us to restore habitat on the 22-acre restoration site to create a home for rare cactus wrens and gnatcatchers with beautiful views of Catalina Island. Help care for the gardens at White Point Nature Preserve by planting native shrubs, removing invasive weeds, watering native plants, grooming trails and more!
