Local Celebrity and Palos Verdes Pulse Contributor Shelley Stockwell-Nicholas, Ph.D., Honored
On May 14, 2022. Shelley Stockwell-Nicholas, of Rancho Palos Verdes, California, USA, was inducted into the International Hypnosis Hall of Fame; the highest honor and acknowledgement in this professional field. Shelley is a regular contributor to Palos Verdes Pulse.
Since 1979, the Hypnosis Hall of Fame has recognized 49 practitioners from the span of recorded hypnosis history to the present for their outstanding contributions.
Dr Shelley, the go-to expert of behavioral medicine, has been a hypnotherapist for fifty-three years and teaches clients and caregivers her popular “Stockwell-Protocol.” She encourages everyone to “master your self-talk so you become a ‘mastermind’ in your own life.”
A popular keynote speaker, columnist and author of 25 books, Stockwell says; “Most other inductees are on the other side of the sod, so I’m thrilled to be honored while still on top. Robert Otto inducts Shelley Stockwell-Nicholas into the Hypnosis Hall of Fame
The International Hypnosis Hall of Fame, pays tribute to pioneers in the field of clinical hypnotherapy. Co-founded by Thomas and Dutton-Raffa in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, the organization has collected hypnosis memorabilia with the idea the building a Museum of Hypnosis. In 2015, after Raffa’s death, former President of the IHHF, Robert Otto and his wife, Linda, took over the organization.
In addition to being inducted into the Hypnosis Hall of Fame, Shelley has received dozens of other awards for her books and teachings. Her local cable television broadcast, “The Shelley Show” won an Angel Award” for outstanding cable television. She’s received three lifetime achievement awards and was crowned Miss Redondo Beach Chamber of Commerce in the 1960’s.
Shelley is President of the International Hypnosis Federation and hands-on trainings have made her the go-to person for happiness, health and success and her peers have paid her their highest compliment.
