My name is Michael Batista and i grew up in Palos Verdes, great place for a kid. When I got older I got into photography. the landscapes, sunsets, and nature was all over the place.

I got into a car accident back in 1996 , part of the rehab was walking. I always took my camera and have a ton of pictures.one such walk I found a nest of Great Horned Owls. with its long , earlike tuffs, intimidating yellow eyed stare , and deep hooting voice the Great Horned Owl is the quintessential owl of storybooks. This powerful predator can take down birds and mammals even larger than itself, but also dines on dainiter fare such as tiny scorpians, mice, and frogs. Its one of the most common owls of North America, equally at home in deserts, wetlands, forests, grasslands, backyards, cites and almost any other open habitat between the Artic and the Tropics.(credit Allaboutbirds.org)
