Love On 4 Paws 2020

What have our pets been up to?

During this time in our organization, Love On 4 Paws has suspended regular visits to the hospitals, senior facilities and schools we serve in the greater Los Angeles area.

As a result, our 4 legged volunteers have also had to adjust to this time of pause.

We checked in with a few and found they all have different ways of spending their free time.

And like so many of our pets, Charlie waits patiently for the time we are able to resume our visits and continue our mission

of sharing the joy, comfort and healing power of our pet's unconditional love.

Unique to a LO4P visit is our volunteers offer an instant photo of the patient with the dog or cat, at no charge. We have found these photos provide comfort long after the visit ends, and can even become treasured mementos.

Our volunteers share their time and pets for many different reasons.

“I volunteer because when I see a person in the hospital who is suffering and down and Charlie and I can make them smile, it's all worth it.”

- Laura

“To cheer someone who just lost a loved one, or see a smile on a sick child's face, or to bring smiles to worried family members, has made every visit by Charlie all worth it.  A simple wag of his tail has made all the difference in someone's life.  I know; it did with me.  When I needed a hand, he gave me his paw."

- Linda

“To be able to give people a positive lift, when down and out, for whatever reason, that is why we volunteer.”

- Michael
