Kelly Lingel was born and raised in southern California. From an early age, her mother exposed her to great artwork, and encouraged her daughter’s creativity. Kelly is passionate about color and always knew she wanted to be an artist. She has worked as an art teacher and Arts Director in the United States, Spain, and Japan, where she was exposed to different artists, artwork, and styles of aesthetics. Kelly is a representational artist who paints in oil in both plein air and the studio. For her, painting is a form of meditation, both challenging and deeply fulfilling. She strives to capture the essence, feeling, or “soul” of the subject matter she is painting. Kelly has privately exhibited at the Long Beach Museum of Art, and has been featured in numerous juried art shows. She has also worked in collaboration with the Los Angeles Music Center to provide Art Education throughout Los Angeles County. She feels very fortunate to be surrounded by the natural beauty of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, where there will always be endless inspiration!
