Freighthouse was founded by local Interior Designer, Sara Balough in 2015 as a place for her clients to sell beautiful items they no longer needed. Sara also sourced interesting unusual pieces for her interiors which was proving to be a challenge in an era of internet shopping. She discovered that there was a synergy between the two and founded her high end consignment shop in Torrance. Sara takes in antiques, silver, crystal, European china, rugs, lamps and especially original artwork. She offers the items for sale for a period of time and discounts based on how long the item has been in her shop and the amount of interest it brings.
