Monthly Guided Nature Walk at Filiorum Reserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, October 12th, 9am. Walk Jack’s Hat Trail on the 191-acre reserve linking the Three Sisters and Portuguese Bend Reserves. This wildlife corridor boasts beautiful ocean views and native habitat. Moderate to strenuous. Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy Nature Club for Kids – Nocturnal Nature – Saturday, October 12th, 10:30am – 11:30am - Join us for a nocturnal wildlife themed Nature Club at White Point Nature Education Center. We'll do fun activities and learn about how scientists study animals that come out at night! Ages 5-10 years old. FREE!
Native Plant Sale by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy – Saturday, October 12th at George F Canyon 10:30am – 12pm, located at 27305 Palos Verdes Dr E, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274. Create your own butterfly garden with a beautiful native plant from the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Our native plant expert will give you professional tips on creating a garden waystation and home for local species! Join us Saturday, October 26th at White Point Nature Education Center located at 1600 Paseo del Mar, San Pedro 10:30am – 12pm for another chance to get native plants.

Family Nature Walk at George F Canyon Nature Preserve with the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Saturday, October 5th, 10:30am. Naturalists will guide you along a trail through the preserve to discover a unique variety of wildlife in their canyon habitat with amazing views of the LA Basin. Join the Community Outreach volunteer team to help engage local the community for events and greet participants of our free monthly guided nature walks. No experience needed & flexible schedule. The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is seeking volunteer education docents who would enjoy working with students, either in the classroom or for field trips and to greet visitors at one of two nature centers the Conservancy manages.
