In mid-July the South Coast Botanic Garden has created a magical event appropriately named DiscOasis presented by Constellation Immersive an affiliate of the creative artist agency (CAA). It is as if a disco paradise has emerged from within the beauty of the south coast botanic garden.
DiscOasis is a brilliant experience created by talented and creative Nile Rogers and is sure to delight audiences of all ages. It has been described by KCRW Events as “ A timed-entry, 90 to 120 minute theatrical journey that unites art, light, disco dance, live performance, rollerskating and good times ...” and it does not disappoint.
There is something for everyone. The talented and engaging performers that greet visitors are stationed along the long path into the event venue and they are delightful, friendly and welcoming. Their fun, welcoming personalities are further enhanced by their eye-catching, glittering costumes.
For those who want to take to the roller rink skates are available or you may bring your own. For those who do not want to roller skate the experience will still be an energizing and joyful experience.
Watching the Professional skaters and attendees alike is impossible not to enjoy. It would be hard for anybody to resist the uplifting, fun inducing disco era songs from the original artists. The lighting, music, props, performances, food, music and vibe at this glittering roller disco is a feast for the eyes, ears and soul.
Disco oasis grooves from 5 to 10 PM, Tuesday through Sunday, through Labor Day weekend.
